Overview

Major Recruitment has an exciting job opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join our prestigious manufacturing client based in New Mills, Derbyshire. The role would suit an experienced Production Team Leader who is technically minded with excellent communication skills. Previous experience in the Food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain production lines
  • Produce daily plans and organise teams for the day-to-day running of the department
  • Continuous improvement of the department and process and optimising machine running times to meet KPI targets.
  • Assist in machine maintenance tasks
  • Work with supervisory staff, departmental and production management to ensure optimum running of both the department and production
  • Manage and work within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Order materials and stock take at the end of each month

Hourly Rate & Working Hours

Hourly Rate: £14.99 per hour + £1.79 per hour shift rate rising to £16.56 per hour + £1.79 shift rate once trained.

Working Hours:

Week 1:
Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm, Friday 6am - 12pm. Week 2:
Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm, Friday 12pm - 6pm. Contract Type:
Permanent.

Requirements & Key Skills
  • Previous experience supervising/managing a team
  • Previous machine operative experience (food manufacturing experience desirable)
  • Technically minded
  • Excellent work ethic

  • Computer literate
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication/people skills
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance
  • Flexibility to suit departmental needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
