Friday: 9:00am-4:30pm

Assistant Credit Controller – SK22, New Mills

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Credit Controller to join a busy finance team in New Mills (SK22). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, detail‑focused and looking to build a career within credit control and finance. Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist in managing customer accounts and ensuring the efficient collection of outstanding payments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

• Assisting with the management and collection of outstanding customer balances, including regular review of aged receivables
• Allocating incoming payments to the Sales Ledger accurately
• Supporting new customer due diligence checks and assisting with credit evaluations
• Setting up credit terms and ensuring accurate system updates
• Raising, issuing and monitoring credit notes
• Monitoring the release of sales orders in line with agreed credit terms
• Supporting month‑end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Providing general office support when required

• Strong attention to detail
• Good computer skills (Excel knowledge advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
• A self‑motivated and proactive approach
• Office experience (desirable but not essential)
• A willingness to learn and develop
