Assistant Credit Controller – SK22, New Mills

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Credit Controller to join a busy finance team in New Mills (SK22). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, detail-focused and looking to build a career within credit control and finance.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist in managing customer accounts and ensuring the efficient collection of outstanding payments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with the management and collection of outstanding customer balances, including regular review of aged receivables

* Allocating incoming payments to the Sales Ledger accurately

* Supporting new customer due diligence checks and assisting with credit evaluations

* Setting up credit terms and ensuring accurate system updates

* Raising, issuing and monitoring credit notes

* Monitoring the release of sales orders in line with agreed credit terms

* Supporting month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting

* Providing general office support when required

* Strong attention to detail

* Good computer skills (Excel knowledge advantageous)

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask

* A self-motivated and proactive approach

* Office experience (desirable but not essential)

* A willingness to learn and develop
