Maintenance Technician

CCLI is looking for a full time Maintenance Technician with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”

• Maintain the overall condition, safety, and appearance of agency facilities and grounds through routine maintenance, repairs, and general services.
• Perform basic household electrical repairs, installations, and appliance hookups and recognize when a licensed electrician is required by notifying the supervisor.
• Implement routine household plumbing, maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Complete routine carpentry, construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for painting. Paint interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and cabinet work.
• Maintain facility grounds, remove snow from walkways as directed, and perform general services.
• Keep records, complete required paperwork, attend required meetings, and perform related duties as assigned.

• High school Diploma or GED. Valid NYS Driver’s License
• 4 years of progressive experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or related field.
• Working knowledge: basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques.
• Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools and power tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as well as to walk/stand for full shift, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in conditions of extreme heat or cold as needed.
• Positive and effective communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, clients, and management.
• Basic computer skills for completing records, work orders and required paperwork.

Full time - 40 hours per week – Monday through Friday

$22-25 per hour
