* HOURS:

20 daytime hours per week - Monday to Friday
**** PART TIME 20 hours
**** In this role you will:
*** Be responsible for accurately reviewing and following up on denied or rejected claims, handling insurance reimbursements, and ensuring timely insurance and patient billing.
* Research and reconcile denied and unpaid medical claims, no fault, and workers’ compensation claims
* Submit appeals and follow up on denied or rejected claims to seek resolution for payment from insurance carrier
* Knowledge of billing regulations, ICD 10 codes, CPT codes CCI rules and modifiers in order to correct and re-submit claims for payments including verifying patient insurance information, ensuring accuracy in billing codes (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10).
* Collect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers reject reports, EOB’s and or correspondence
* Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely appropriate follow up action
* Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and payer guidelines
* Knowledge of Laboratory billing codes, Excel, Outlook, EMR systems preferred.
** All You Need is:
*** High School Diploma or GED
* 1-2 years minimum experience with Accounts Receivables/Denials
* Medical Billing Certificate preferred
* Laboratory billing knowledge a plus Salary Range: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
