Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM & CAD Technician with hands-on experience in Architecture, and Structural disciplines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating BIM models (primarily LOD
300), preparing construction drawings, and assisting with CAD-based detailing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage BIM models up to LOD
300 for architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines. - Prepare detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and coordinated design outputs.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts across disciplines using platforms like Navisworks.
- Integrate point cloud scans into BIM models where applicable.
- Develop and manage BIM content such as parametric families, system components, and quantity schedules.
- Maintain project documentation and adhere to company and client BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Provide support on CAD drafting tasks when required, especially for detailing and fabrication documentation.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and support QA/QC of model content.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a BIM/CAD Technician working on Architecture, MEP, and Structural projects.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD ; experience with Bentley Suite like Open Buildings, Autodesk Navisworks is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards for BIM and CAD deliverables.
- Solid understanding of Architectural, Engineering and Construction documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Experience working on large-scale or infrastructure projects.
- Exposure to point cloud data and Scan-to-BIM processes.
- Familiarity with tools like Dynamo, Rhino, or Grasshopper is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Tekla Structures or other structural detailing platforms is a plus.
