Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Plainview, New York (NY). The company offers professional challenges, advancement potential, a full array of attractive company‑provided benefits, a nice suburban Long Island location, and very good hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Review revenues and expenses for accuracy while examining general ledger postings and rent rolls.
• Coordinate with Receivable/Payable personnel to ensure timely posting of all transactions.
• Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts and P&L accounts.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of public or private accounting experience with residential real estate exposure preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, problem‑solver, and strong work ethics.
• Ultimate professionalism with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple tasks.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
