HMI is a 38-year-old mechanical and plumbing contractor located in Hickory, NC. We are not looking for short-term employees, we are looking for long-term teammates.

Our Field Service Technicians travel to customer sites to safely repair, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

• Travel to customer sites to perform service and customer support.
• Diagnose and correct malfunctions on equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of refrigerant troubleshooting.
• Provide technical feedback on equipment by submitting detailed field service reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers in a service-oriented manner both in person and in writing.
• Communicate with dispatch effectively for excellent customer service.
• Promote sales and service on customer equipment.
• Can adapt easily to change, work safely, and follow standard operating procedures without fail.

• 3-8 years minimum experience in the light commercial or industrial HVAC industry.
• HVAC manufacturer-specific training or college education is preferred.
• Experience with Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration systems and components.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaboration & teamwork with peers.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Background check.
