• Provides professional nursing care to patients during the perioperative phase of treatment.
• Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule.
• Maintains organized work area.
• Assumes the responsibility of the professional nurse by demonstrating accountability and seeking opportunities for continued growth.

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Current State of NC nursing license
• BCLS required

• Experience as a scrub and/or circulating nurse in the operating room setting.
• Knowledge of AORN standards and JCAHO recommendations needed.
• Member of AORN advised.

• Ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours.
• Call may be required on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge and ability to apply AORN recommended practices.
