The Frye Heart Center is partnered with the Duke Heart Network and is the only Duke Heart affiliate in Western North Carolina. Frye is the region’s only comprehensive heart center performing more than 6750 heart procedures each year including open heart surgery. Frye is a Chest Pain Center with accredited PCI, offering 24/7 interventional cardiology with an experienced network of physician specialists and cardiovascular providers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assists medical staff in performance of peer review.
- Inputs various assigned data bases involved with PI, Patient Safety or Risk Management.
- Assist in data collection, validation and maintenance of Core Measures (HF, AMI, PN, SCIP, CABG, PCI, Stroke, OPPS, DVT, HBIPS and IMM/ED) databases.
- Assist in medical record review process and inputs data into Echo Quality
- Performs required Interqual / Simplus (surgery appropriateness) reviews as assigned.
- Assists with follow-up to outliers for compliance to Core Measures.
- Assists with data collection and maintaining participation in various national databases including ACC-NCDR, STS, AHA-GWTG
- Performs audits for nursing units in conjunction with IDMR, Tenet Quality audits or Regulatory requirements
- Compiles appropriate reports quantifying results from data bases to Hospital Staff and Medical Staff as needed.
- Participates in Core Measure or PI related committees i.e. CHF, SCIP/CABG, Stroke, etc.
Supervised By:
Director of Clinical Quality Improvement and /or Clinical Quality Manager
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
- Two to five years acute care experience required.
- Experience in Quality Management preferred.
