Job Description – Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Heart Valve/Cardiac Clinic )

Provides specialized nursing services with guidance of the attending physician. Completed related work as required. Considerable medical judgment is required to determine the appropriate procedure within scope of practice.

Working with the Cardiology clinics

• Responsible for assuring that applicable patient standards of care, practice/performance are delivered
• Develops, implements and updates policies and procedures as required
• Educates staff as appropriate
• Assures that we are compliant with regulatory standards of care.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise and assessment in the management of cardiac patients.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times
• Assists with other duties as assigned.

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license to practice in the state.
• CPR Certified.
• DEA registration with state.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing/physician assistant.
• Completion of a state acceptable Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program.

3 to 5 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in a cardiac setting preferred.
