What You Will Do- Drive Smart Sourcing Decisions
- Identify sourcing opportunities that reduce cost, improve lead times, and strengthen supplier partnerships
- Lead RFQs and evaluate supplier proposals for production components and MRO categories
- Partner with plant teams to ensure suppliers can support production schedules
- Work closely with location buyers, operations, and planning teams to resolve sourcing challenges
- Help manage supplier transitions and onboarding to ensure production continuity
- Improve visibility into plant spend and increase spend under contract
- Implement Strategic Procurement Initiatives
- Deploy corporate sourcing strategies across manufacturing locations
- Support supplier consolidation and standardization efforts
- Ensure compliance with approved suppliers, negotiated pricing, and procurement policies
- Build Strong Supplier Partnerships
- Coordinate supplier onboarding, qualification, and documentation
- Work with supplier quality teams to address performance issues and improvements
- Support supplier performance reviews and operational readiness
- Track Impact and Performance
- Monitor cost savings generated through sourcing initiatives
- Track supplier performance metrics such as delivery and quality
- Maintain sourcing project trackers aligned with company KPIs
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of sourcing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting plant operations or production environments
- Strong Excel skills for analysis, comparisons, and sourcing decisions
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (JDE experience is a plus)
- Sourcing fabricated metal components, foam, textiles, plastics, or MRO
- Exposure to supplier onboarding or PPAP processes
- Knowledge of quality systems such as IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, or ISO 9001
- Experience working across multiple manufacturing locations
Note:
Must have the ability to travel up to 35% as required to site operations and conduct supplier audits, validations, and business reviews.
