We’re seeking a General Manager who can lead our dealership in Hickory, NC, to new heights — balancing business performance, customer satisfaction, and team culture. About the Role
The General Manager oversees all dealership operations including but not limited to Sales, Service, Parts, Motor Clothes, and Finance & Insurance. This role ensures that every department operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with Momentum Holdings and Harley-Davidson Motor Company standards.
You’ll report directly to Momentum’s executive leadership and will be responsible for strategic planning, financial oversight, staff development, and maintaining Blue Ridge Harley-Davidson’s reputation as the premier mountain riding destination in the Southeast.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all dealership departments to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Drive profitability through disciplined Profit and Loss (P&L) management, marketing strategy, and process improvement.
- Build, train, and mentor a high-performing team that delivers exceptional customer experiences.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with Harley-Davidson programs, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards, and state/federal regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, local community groups, and rider organizations.
- Collaborate with Momentum’s executive team to implement growth initiatives and share best practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and respect throughout the dealership.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a Harley-Davidson or powersports dealership (General Manager, GSM, or senior operations role).
- Proven track record in P&L management and business growth.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire cross-departmental teams.
- Deep understanding of Harley-Davidson brand standards, customer demographics, and retail processes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Passion for the Harley-Davidson lifestyle and commitment to delivering world-class experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
