Supervisor, Laboratory Acute Rehabilitation
Join the Frye Regional Medical Center team as a Laboratory Supervisor, where your leadership and expertise help make our community healthier. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports acute care services in a 355‑bed facility that values excellence, integrity and compassion.
Essential Functions- Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and promote a collaborative workplace.
- Provide direction, orientation, training, coaching and mentoring to laboratory staff.
- Perform or assist with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and staff development programs.
- Ensure quality of services delivered and facilitate compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
- Lead resolution of complex laboratory issues, complaints and regulatory matters.
- Maintain reliable attendance and perform duties as assigned to fulfill required service levels.
- Associate’s Degree required;
Bachelor’s preferred. - Current ASCP or AMT certification required;
Basic Life Support (BLS) required. - Associates Level (Mid‑Senior level).
- Experience in a laboratory setting with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Business mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios and percentages.
- Moderate computer skills: electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Moderate communication: oral and written, with ability to train others and present to management.
- Moderate independent judgment: set personal goals and determine results with broad guidance.
- Moderate planning/organization: handle multiple tasks simultaneously with moderate complexity.
- Lead work of others performing essentially the same work.
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
