Join the Wake Forest Health Network Surgical Specialties - Catawba team for an exciting opportunity as we welcome a dedicated Physician Assistant to our dynamic practice in Hickory, North Carolina. The Wake Forest Health Network is a physician-led, non-faculty multispecialty group practice affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. This role is ideal for a PA with a passion for surgical care, providing support on the surgical floors at Catawba Valley Medical Center and Frye Regional Medical Center.
Responsibilities include assisting surgeons with patient care. This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes both weekday and weekend shifts.
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings.

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board with departmental specific credentialing from the institution).
Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program;
Master0s Degree preferred - Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA
- Minimum of one year of experience in surgical care environment
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start

- Schedule: This role entails 100% outpatient care, with full-time providers working 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours.
