Position Overview
We are partnering with a leading acute-care medical center in Hickory, NC to hire an experienced Cath Lab Technician / Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity offering competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a generous sign-on bonus.
Schedule- 4 x 10-hour shifts
- On-call: 1 night per week and every 5th weekend
- Current ARRT or RCIS certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required within 6 months of hire if not already obtained)
- Hospital experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with established clinical standards and scope of practice
- Perform all aspects of patient care while prioritizing patient safety and minimizing medical errors
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, providers, patients, and families
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals
- Educate patients and families based on age, culture, condition, and learning needs
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients while protecting patient rights
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress clinical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current ARRT or RCIS certification required
- BLS required
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- (Education requirement may be waived with equivalent Cath Lab experience)
