- Provides direct patient care including evaluations, treatment, and reassessment for outpatient, COPS, acute, Rehab and RCU, demonstrating the ability/competency to properly address the ages of all patients.
- Completes all appropriate documentation for evaluations and treatments for the areas of outpatient, COPS, acute, Rehab and RCU.
- Maintains ASHA CEU requirements for licensure.
- Corresponds with appropriate sources (physicians, payer sources) within specified time frames regarding patient progress.
- Conducts patient/family training and counseling through regular contact in all settings.
- Consults with other professional resources and agencies in assuring proper transitions and carryover.
- Promotes and maintains a professional and courteous working relationship with the medical staff, patients and families, SLP associates, students and all other medical center staff.
- Actively participates in achieving customer satisfaction by actively seeking any information regarding satisfaction of care, meeting patient needs, as well as providing immediate information to Administrative Director relative to positive/ negative care issues which could help or hinder future referrals as well as impact PSMS scores.
- As assigned or as time allows, markets speech/language pathology services, participate in recruitment and selection of departmental staff, and participate in accrediting reviews (state, Joint Commission.)
A Masters degree, current NC license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for SLPs and Audiologists
