Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.
Essential Functions:- Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
- Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
- Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackages bulk medications.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Education/Certification- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Required - Licenses:
Registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy in good standing and PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Pharmacy Intern - Certification: ASCP or NHA Preferred
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire
