• Performs the role of the scrub technician.
• Uses principles of aseptic technique to establish and maintain a sterile field.
• Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule.
• Maintains organized work area and participates in daily unit duties.
• Assumes the responsibility of the professional surgical technician by demonstrating accountability and seeking opportunities for continued growth.

• High school graduate or equivalent
• BCLS required
• Certification for Surgical Technology with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• 6 months experience as Surgical Tech
• Competent in at least 3 specialty areas required and surgical technology certification preferred.
