Support the day-to-day flow and priorities of the Joulin engineering department. Joulin tools are designed to be durable, efficient, and handle a diverse array of products. As the lead engineer, facilitation of new standard components, product, and processes will be a main priority.

• Maintain the design schedule for custom projects
• Support training for new employee and continual growth
• Support and maintain SOP development for the engineering department
• Facilitate R&D projects, testing, and data collection

• Interface with company ERP and PDM/PLM system daily
• Apply knowledge and principles of engineering to designs for effective and efficient products
• Maintain an understanding of Joulin standard parts and design procedures
• Monitor the quality of custom projects from design and facilitate the proper corrective actions
• Support the design team workload to ensure sufficient on time delivery is met
• Using Solidworks, model custom EOAT,s and auxiliary equipment for end of line product handling

In this role you are required to act accordingly to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission, and routines.

The Lead Design Engineer reports to Blayden Tucker and is part of the Design Team. As Design Lead you will work closely with the shop supervisor and Project Engineering manager.

• Experience with PDM/PLM System
• Solidworks (Or similar CAD platform)

• Bachelors (preferred) in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar concentration of Engineering
• 3 – 5 Years of relevant engineering experience
• High proficiency 3D CAD software (Solid Works Preferred)
• Experience with various pneumatic components/systems
• Practice in creating manufacturing/engineering documentation (part drawings, BOMs, schematics)
