We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Hickory, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts payable processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting department.
Part-Time Only- about 15 hours weekly. Quickbooks experience a must.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner to maintain operational efficiency.
- Verify and code invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and execute check runs, ensuring all payments are properly authorized.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues related to invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address inquiries and ensure smooth communication.
- Support month-end closing activities by providing necessary accounts payable data.
- Assist in improving systems and workflows for enhanced accounts payable operations.
- Provide regular reports and updates on payment statuses and outstanding invoices.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company guidelines.
Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and check runs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to resolve discrepancies and manage payment inquiries effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounts payable.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
