Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with urgent, emergent, and life-threatening conditions. The ER RN performs rapid assessments, prioritizes care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Education:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Licensure &
Certifications:
* Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
* Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required or obtained within a specified timeframe
Experience:
* Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
* Prior Emergency Room, ICU, or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment
* Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
* Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
* Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
* Ability to lift, push, or pull patients and equipment
* Manual dexterity and visual acuity required
Work Schedule
Night Shift 7PM-7AM, Alternated Weekends and Holidays
