Bookkeeper

A well-established manufacturing organization in the emergency preparedness sector is seeking a Senior Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting functions. This is a highly visible, hands-on role serving as the primary internal accounting professional, reporting directly to executive leadership and partnering with an external accounting services firm for oversight and strategic guidance.

This position requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The majority of work will be performed onsite at the company's headquarters in Hialeah Gardens, FL.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all general accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Process customer invoicing and oversee collections activities
• Administer payroll processing and related reconciliations
• Monitor and reconcile inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements
• Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance
• Collaborate with executive leadership and external accounting partners to support financial reporting and operational goals
• Support audits and provide documentation as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a full-charge bookkeeping or senior accounting role
• Demonstrated experience as the sole or lead accounting professional preferred
• Proficiency in Quick Books Enterprise (required)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and internal controls
• Experience managing payroll and inventory accounting
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with executive leadership and external accounting advisors
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
