Exciting opportunity to join the nursing team on Ward 2 at Hexham General Hospital. A motivated and compassionate Band 5 Nurse to provide patient care, support a diverse team and grow within the Northumbria family.

• Provide nursing care to a caseload of up to 26 patients in a 26‑bedded unit.
• Deliver verbal and written handovers to nursing colleagues and the multidisciplinary team using trust clinical programmes.
• Develop and implement individualised programmes of care for each patient.
• Participate in MDT and discharge planning.
• Work effectively in a high‑pressure environment and document all care in the systems.

• Exercise accountability under the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and comply with NHCFT policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Deliver care for people with complex needs and contribute to all nursing care.
• Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse to provide and monitor care.
• Role‑model compassionate and inclusive leadership, engaging, empowering and coaching others.
• Support safe and effective discharges and uphold ward objectives.

• Essential
• 1st level live NMC registered nurse.
• Evidence of qualification to undertake supervision, teaching and assessing students (within 18 months).
• Desirable
• PP126/7
• D32/33
• Post‑registration qualification in specialty.
• Diploma or degree in nursing.

• Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 – Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
• Skilled Worker sponsorship applications will be considered.
• Applicants must hold a current UK professional registration.
