An opportunity has arisen for flexible, highly motivated individuals to join the theatre team within Hexham General Hospital, in our new Operating Theatre Department working with and supporting the Nursing and Medical team. Previous theatre experience is not essential as there is a comprehensive training programme in place, however previous experience in a care environment is essential.

Main duties of the jobTo support qualified staff in provision of care to patients in the operating theatre, incorporating clerical and cleaning duties.
To work with qualified theatre team members to assist in the safe provision of services to the patient.
To support qualified staff and patients in the operating theatre, recovery and Surgical Day Unit.

responsibilities
Support qualified staff in provision of care to patients in the operating theatre.
To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care.
To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team.
To maintain high clinical standards.
To help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications- ECDL or equivalent
- Experience in healthcare
- Experience with in the operating department
- Caring experience
