Purchase Ledger

We are seeking a hands‑on Purchase Ledger Assistant/Clerk to join our small Hull‑based group, operating in the clean energy sector.

Working onsite within our small finance team at our National Avenue site (HU5), on a part time & on a temporary basis - Monday & Wednesday mornings 9am until 1pm both days. For up to 3months - upon review, may become permanent.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, as Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will record purchases, track outstanding balances and manage supplier accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Record keeping:
  Maintain accurate records of company purchase ledger including supplier contact information and ensure invoices, receipts, and other related documents are properly filed and organized.
• Invoice processing:
  Verify and process invoices and credit notes received from suppliers, match them to purchase orders ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Reconciliation:
  Supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communication:
  Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice and payment status and monitor aged payables, and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
• Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations related to purchasing and payment processing.
• Ensure a high level of data integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
