We are seeking a hands-on Purchase Ledger Assistant/Clerk to join our small Hull-based group, operating in the clean energy sector.
Location & hours of work
- Working onsite within our small finance team at our National Avenue site (HU5), on a part time & on a temporary basis - Monday & Wednesday mornings 9am until 1pm both days. For up to 3months – upon review, may become permanent.

Main duties
- Working closely with the Financial Controller, as Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will record purchases, track outstanding balances and manage supplier accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Purchase Ledger responsibilities will include:
* Record keeping:
Maintain accurate records of company purchase ledger including supplier contact information and ensure invoices, receipts, and other related documents are properly filed and organize.
* Invoice processing:
Verify and process invoices and credit notes received from suppliers, match them to purchase orders ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
* Reconciliation:
Supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
* Communication:
Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice and payment status and monitor aged payables, and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
* Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations related to purchasing and payment processing.
* Ensure a high level of data integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
