EarlyIntervention Specialist – Therapeutic Hourly Pay: $20.20–22.84 /hour plus mileage reimbursement Positions start as part-time hours (about 20–25 per week); potential to build up to full-time hours, depending on availability and caseload in certain areas Coverage area:
Hesperia, Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto, and surrounding areas
- Plan, schedule, and provide weekly early intervention in-home services or in school settings for a caseload of infants/toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
- This specific area works with two age groups:
- School-age range (4–21 years):
Specialists work in school settings 1-on-1 with children diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability. - Infant-toddler age range (0–3 years):
Specialists conduct sessions in-home, with the child’s parent/guardian always present. - Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development for each child, utilizing best practices.
- Model effective adult‑child interactions, and provide written information on parenting and child development, as well as weekly activities and coaching for parents.
- Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Qualifications- Education:
- Infant‑Toddler position:
Bachelor’s Degree in health/human services‑related major required. - If you do not have a Bachelor’s Degree: consider an Associate’s degree (or equivalent) PLUS 2 years of experience working/volunteering with children; some coursework in Early Childhood education, Human Development, Psychology, sociology, or related field is required.
- School‑Age position:
High School diploma required.
- Infant‑Toddler position:
- Experience:
- One year of experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians.
- If candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, experience may not be required.
- School‑Age program: ABA and/or Behavior Management skills/experience/training is highly desired.
- License:
Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; also must have at least one year of history as a licensed driver in any US state. - Vehicle:
Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage. - Skills/Characteristics:
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships.

- Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines.
- Availability:
Most sessions will be during daytime on weekdays, but some flexibility with evenings and weekend times may be needed. - Working environment:
Services provided in the home of children in program and their parents/guardians.
- Part‑time (about 20–25 hrs/week average) to start – possible to build up caseload to full‑time (about 32 hrs/week on average).
