Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates the Title III Project English Learner parent involvement in District and site activities for the purpose of increasing parent involvement and education. Facilitates support programs for the purpose of providing parent leadership in District and site projects involving English Learner students. Maintains communication with English Learner parent population through a Title III Project newsletter for the purpose of informing English Learner population of available resources.
Orients Title VII Project and all English Learner parents into District programs and resources for the purpose of accomplishing education and informing parents and staff of academic English Language Development issues and programs. Participates in training and/or conferences, meetings, etc. for the purpose of recruiting English Learner parents for meetings, classes, site and District functions. Prepares reports, newsletters, certificates, displays, correspondence, etc.
for the purpose of communicating information with staff, parents, students and community interested in the success of English Learner students. Recruits parents for leadership positions for site or District advisory committees. Recruits parents and teachers for the purpose of assisting in site or District activities. Schedules volunteers for the purpose of matching volunteers with identified activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge to perform basic math including fractions, percents, and ratios; to read procedures, write complex sentences and speak distinctly; and to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Skills to perform multiple basic non-technical tasks. Specific skills to apply pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; communicate with persons of varied cultural and educational backgrounds; operate standard office equipment;
plan and manage projects; prepare and maintain accurate records; and utilize pertinent software applications. Keyboard/computer literate. Abilities to deal with a level of complexity of tasks that require significant flexibility with data and/or people; coordinating of other person’s schedules and/or activities; discretion, independent action and/or judgment with regards to working with people; uses and/or sources of data; and interacting with persons and/or agendas that frequently change.
Specific abilities to meet deadlines and schedules; and work under time constraints. Responsibility in relationship to people includes leading, guiding and/or coordinating. The resources required (people, equipment, facilities, and/or funding) necessary to perform job functions are of a moderate scope and moderate opportunity exists for significant impact (positive or negative) on the organization’s mission.
The job functions are generally performed in an indoor environment requiring the following significant physical abilities: reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling; sensory speaking, hearing and visual.
Educational Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proof of HS Graduation (High school diploma, GED, Bachelor's Degree)
- Copy of Transcript (High school transcripts)
Some job related experience is a prerequisite. Appropriate second language fluency desired.
Licensing, Certification, Testing Requirements:Fingerprint/Criminal Justice clearance;
Tuberculosis clearance.
