All About On DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via our myTime mobile scheduling app.
When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You will be expected to engage actively by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm interest in working shifts. If you do not respond, your employment may be terminated.
Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment may be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it are critical to your success in this role. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule. After that, the myTime app is where you can pick up shifts you desire to work.

Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.
What The Role Teaches The role provides skills and experience including:

- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available to solve issues and improve guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their visit to Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Explain Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with all fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll and use them.
- Explain and demonstrate Wallet and Target App features to guests.
- Handle returns following procedures and escalate with leadership as needed.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience as required by policy.
- Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders and returns; comply with relevant laws including adult beverage regulations where applicable.
