Overview
The Salisbury Arms Hotel is set in an iconic 18th-century building in the centre of the historic town of Hertford. This traditional hotel has undergone a transformational refurbishment. Our award-winning designers have restored the listed building to its original beauty, with an addition of a stunning garden terrace for alfresco drinking and dining all year round, a private dining room and incredible period features.
All accompanied by locally sourced menus, premium wines and of course, our locally brewed beers.

We are looking for a dedicated Sous Chef who is passionate about beer and food, enjoys people, and thrives in a busy environment that’s the hub of the community.

- All aspects of food stock control including ordering, deliveries, stock taking and control of wastage
- Supporting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen and deputising in their absence
- Training and developing the kitchen team so that they can reach their potential
- All aspects of Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance in accordance with the law and company policy
Previous experience of working within a busy kitchen is essential. You must be keen to develop, willing to take on responsibility and remain calm under pressure.
Up to £35k plus tronc and bonus, live in deduction £4,268 per annum
