Production Operative

Location: Hertfordshire

Our well known and award-winning client are looking for a Production Operative to join their fast paced and busy team. This is a fantastic new opportunity for anyone with experience within the Print, Production, and/or Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position.
 
The perfect candidate will set up and rewind the printed master rolls into customer specified finished reels, monitoring the quality to an agreed standard using the latest camera inspection equipment.
 
The shift pattern for this role is on a rotational basis, Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm
 
The salary for this role is £29,166 per annum (including 22.5% shift allowance)
 
 Main tasks as a Production Operative (Rewinder):
- Operate, monitor and maintain rewinding equipment to job specifications
- Handle rolls of labels as they come off the rewinder, pack into boxes and stack
- Strict adherence to production procedures and SOP's
- Follow all safety procedures and SOP's whilst performing main tasks
- Check label quality and resolve and report any issues
- To run folding machine/Braille maker/Label applicator when required
 
Required skills as a Production Operative (Rewinder):
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Operate and clean the core cutting machine, as required
- PC literate
- Operate label applicator when required
