Responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This includes comprehensive planning, execution, and closure of projects, effective resource scheduling, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
Job DescriptionAs a key member of the UK/Ireland Global Service Team, this role involves active participation in ATS daily stand‑ups, weekly syncs, and broader team meetings. The individual is expected to provide coverage for team members when needed and contribute to the continuous professional development of the team by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and promoting best practices.
Specific Responsibilities- Define Project Scope, Goals, and Objectives.
- Act as the central point for resolving technical queries (internal and external).
- Create accurate budget allocations using the Cost Book.
- Oversee detailed project schedules, identifying critical path activities and key milestones.
- Lead the Initial Project Delivery Plan, including kick‑off and alignment meetings.
- Ensure adequate resource allocation using RACI matrices.
- Maintain project data in ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud.
- Foster cross‑functional collaboration.
- Identify, select, and manage project teams and relations with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain resource plans and schedules.
- Manage unplanned absences and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Oversee customer site entry requirements.
- Implement project plans ensuring time, budget, scope, and quality.
- Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with ATS Code of Business Conduct.
- Uphold safety standards, conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits.
- Implement corrective actions for unsafe conditions.
- Post‑secondary college diploma or university degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls).
- Progress toward or completion of PMP designation is an asset.
- Proven experience managing automation projects with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Leadership and coordination in complex project design and construction.
- Minimum three years in a lead role on diverse, multi‑discipline projects across markets.
- Strong preference for candidates with solid manufacturing or process engineering background.
- Superior mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software and AutoCAD or similar CAD/drawing packages.
- Leadership – Inspires and guides teams to successful outcomes.
- Negotiation & Deal‑Making – Skilled in stakeholder alignment and contract negotiation.
- Problem Solving – Analytical thinker with a proactive approach.
