Pre-Contracts Manager/Estimator High End Interior Fit-Out

Location: Hertfordshire (Thundridge) with flexibility
Salary: £70,000 £ 85,000 DOE

A growing and reputable fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager/Estimator to take ownership of all tenders valued at £100k - £4m. This senior-level role offers the opportunity to play a vital part in the business s continued growth and success, with flexibility to split your time between the office, home, and site as needed.

Role Overview:

As Pre-Contracts Manager, you ll lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-value tenders. This role requires a commercially sharp, detail-focused professional who can confidently manage tenders from start to handover, and contribute to the business s pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for all tenders from £100k - £4m in value.

  • Break down packages of work and distribute to the supply chain for pricing.

  • Identify and onboard new suppliers as required based on scope.

  • Create pricing schedules when necessary.

  • Attend tender surveys and mid-bid interviews.

  • Collate finalised tenders and present to the senior commercial team for review.

  • Lead a thorough handover of secured projects to the delivery team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 7 years experience in the fit-out industry, ideally with a recognised main contractor.

  • Deep understanding of commercial interiors and fit-out processes.

  • Strong supply chain management and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work autonomously.

  • Confident representing the business in client-facing situations.
