Hertfordshire Job Type: Full-time Join a prestigious accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire as an Accounts Manager. This role is perfect for a motivated individual looking to manage a diverse client portfolio and achieve their career goals. Day-to-day of the role:
Assume overall responsibility for client assignments, ensuring all accounts are delivered to partners for discussion, free of technical errors and with only major queries outstanding. Manage multiple assignments effectively, meeting all deadlines and budgets while maintaining control over Work In Progress (WIP) and billing. Act as a major point of contact within the firm for client requests/needs, maintaining regular communication and building strong relationships.

Oversee and manage clients’ accounts, tax, and value-added services assignments, ensuring progress is monitored against budget and established time frames. Review work completed by junior team members and resolve all issues prior to Partner review. Assist in the day-to-day management of the team, inspiring confidence and trust, and developing staff capabilities and performance. Required Skills &

Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice. Proven client relationship skills and the ability to advise clients directly on broad accounts and tax matters. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and knowledgeable in accounting packages such as IRIS, Xero, Sage, and Quick Books. Experience in managing client assignments and leading client meetings. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.

Must have a driving license as driving is essential for the role. Benefits:
