Bookkeeper; AAT L3 Qualified

Position: Bookkeeper (AAT L3 Qualified)
Our client, a well-established and expanding bookkeeping practice based in Hertford, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Day-to-day bookkeeping duties

* Processing purchase and sales invoices

* Bank and cash reconciliations

* Preparing and submitting VAT returns

* Managing ledgers and assisting with month-end processes

* Liaising with external accountants as required

* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and deadlines

The Ideal Candidate

* AAT Level 3 qualification (essential)

* Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, Quick Books)

* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

* A desire to progress professionally, including undertaking AAT Level 4
