Starbucks Retail Manager 2 – Penn State Hershey Medical Center | High-Volume Licensed Store

Sodexo is seeking a Starbucks Retail Manager 2 to lead operations at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is the only locally based academic medical center in central Pennsylvania. This 611-bed facility provides adults and children with advanced, patient-focused care for cancer, heart, vascular, and neurological conditions. It is also Pennsylvania’s only nationally verified Level I Trauma Center for both children and adults, making it a premier destination for clinical excellence.

This role oversees a high-volume, fully licensed Starbucks location within the medical center. The ideal candidate will have previous Starbucks leadership experience and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment focused on service excellence.

This position typically works morning and daytime weekday shifts, offering a great schedule for retail leadership professionals.

What You'll Do:

As the Starbucks Retail Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the Starbucks store, including managing a team of 10–15 employees

  • Ensuring strong customer service and brand standards consistent with Starbucks expectations

  • Managing inventory, ordering, and product availability

  • Developing strategies to increase sales and drive operational performance

  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training team members

  • Creating staff schedules and managing payroll

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment

  • Handling customer concerns professionally and ensuring positive guest experiences

What You Bring:

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience along with a passion for customer service and retail excellence.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous leadership experience within Starbucks is strongly preferred

  • Experience managing a high-volume retail or food service environment

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and operational compliance

  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
