Food Safety Specialist

Schedule

Hybrid – occasional travel to PA and Midwest plants.

Serves as Quality & Regulatory Compliance representative for client‑owned facilities and co‑manufacturing/co‑packaging sites. Leads quality programs, audits, and complex assignments under supervision.

• Audit and assess quality programs, troubleshoot high‑complexity issues.
• Engage with regulatory officials on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Legal, etc.) on innovation, regulatory changes, and quality incidents.
• Supervise external manufacturers and co‑packers, evaluate product, and resolve issues.
• Conduct DC audits, develop corrective action plans, and report to management.
• Handle private label customer complaints, escalations, and problem resolution.
• Provide coverage for paternity leave for Quality Coordinator at Bethlehem plant.

• Operation supervision: visit facilities, evaluate production, verify parameters, and enforce deviations.
• DC Audit: travel, perform audit, produce report, and close gaps with DC.
• Extended Program: cover QA Coordinator activities in Bethlehem.

• Quality & Food Safety Technician experience in a food facility.
• HACCP knowledge.
• Audit experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing.
• Proficient in Office software.
