SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Life Lion Chief Flight Nurse is responsible for assessing and implementing care for critically ill patients and serve as the senior expert in clinical decision making involving the treatment/transport of critically ill patients. The Chief Flight Nurse is responsible for assisting with the management of daily operations associated with the Life Lion Critical Care Transport Team. The Chief Flight Nurse will provide direct supervision over the Life Lion Critical Care Transport Nurses.

MINIMUM

QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Bachelor Degree in a health-related field or two (2) years of qualified management experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Critical Care Nurse
  • CFRN or CTRN, (must have this credential within one year of hire)
  • Previous supervisory or workflow coordination experience
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Must have Pennsylvania Pre-hospital RN credential (PHRN)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
  • International Trauma Life Support or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Certification
  • EVDT with EMSVO endorsement
  • Valid PA state Driver's license
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800
