The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the various processes for the HR team. This position will support compliance efforts through reporting, auditing, and data entry of various HR records. Additionally it will provide in-person support for onboarding and hiring events and other HR functions.

Job Duties
  • Perform regular compliance reviews of processes, including onboarding requirements, employee records, I-9 documentation, position requirements, special staffing program requirements, company background screening requirements, and other processes owned by the HR team. Seek new ways to enhance efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and advise on the best course of action to reduce risk, create consistency, and maintain compliance.
  • Provide reporting support to the HR Team by creating and running HR data reports.
  • Communicate with employees, managers and HR Business Partners to gather missing data or resolve issues.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding teams in high-volume onboarding events. Assist employees with the next steps in the employment process, including answering questions about required paperwork, background checks, scheduling drug tests, etc.
  • Administer the employee social security number verification process, I-9 reverification process, and the annual background screening process.
  • Assist with employee processing for new hires, rehires, and transfers, including creating employee  and entering data in the ATS system.
  • Participate in HR events and assist the HR Team with processes and projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of related Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related office experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in Human Resources and working with an HRIS system
  • Completion of high school or GED
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Proficient in working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and report writing
  • Must have high attention to detail, excellent verbal/written communication, organizational skills, ability to manage high volumes, and discretion.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Skilled in the use of Google Suite, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
