• Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse / OR RN / Perioperative Nurse
• Location: Herrin, IL 62948 (Southern Illinois)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN — 13 weeks
• Start Date / Duration: March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026 (13 weeks)
• Unit: Operating Room (OR) — heavy Ortho, Urology, Spine, Robotic cases
• Shift: 10-hour days, 4 days/week (8:00am–6:30pm)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130–$2250/week

• Call Requirements: 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month (may vary)
• Floating: May float to other facilities as needed
• Case Mix: Orthopedic, urology, spine and robotic-assisted surgical procedures

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Current BLS (CPR) certification
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room / perioperative RN experience
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Willingness to take call as scheduled and float to other facilities if needed

• Perform perioperative patient assessments to identify mental, physical and spiritual needs prior to, during, and after surgery
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized perioperative care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs
• Provide clear pre-op and post-op instructions to patients and responsible parties
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment and appropriate escalation
• Maintain accurate and complete perioperative and medical records
• Promote a positive, professional workplace through effective communication and teamwork
• Meet core measure responsibilities and participate in continuing education and professional development as a surgical nurse
