RN – Inpatient Rehabilitation | Night Shift

Location:
Illinois | 13-Week Contract

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit on the night shift. This is a contract opportunity at a well-respected non-profit healthcare system known for excellence in patient care and professional growth

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Start Date: 02/16/2026
• Job Type: Contract
• Schedule:
  • Every 3rd weekend (Friday & Saturday nights)
  • Sunday nights considered part of the regular workweek (some flexibility available)

• Unit Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation (Acute Rehab)
• Provides care similar to a medical-surgical floor
• No Heparin drips
• High neuro patient population
• Stroke certification is a plus, not required

• Assess patients’ mental, physical, and psychosocial needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatments
• Use sound clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and complete medical documentation
• Participate in continuing education
• Promote a positive and professional work environment

• Active Illinois RN license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in rehabilitation, neuro, or medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
