We’re curious, creative, and always on the move. Joining us as a Team Leader means you’ll lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
Responsibilities- Lead a front-line, customer-centric team of tax office associates and deliver an outstanding client experience.
- Provide leadership and development for tax office associates and ensure growth objectives are met for the office.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Act as the point of contact for escalated client service concerns and ensure proper scheduling and conflict resolution.
- Lead daily activities to ensure all work is completed on time with quality standards and priorities.
- Train and coach associates to uphold Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to staff.
- Create associate work schedules and manage timekeeping and overtime.
- Prepare tax returns, as required, and provide guidance on tax processes.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with Associate Relations Center to address issues.
- Prior experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role.
- Experience supervising or managing people.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer-centric mindset with resilience and determination.
- Flexibility in work schedule and assignments based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher.

Pay range: $15.00 - $65.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible for incentive plans and benefits as described by local requirements.
