Java Software Engineer- Top Secret​/SCI Clearance required- Herndon, VA

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Java Software Engineer to support a Government Consulting company located in Herndon VA through onsite work. The Java Software Engineer will provide Agile Dev Ops support for mission‑critical systems while developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise software, cloud environments, and operational tools.

• Develop and maintain software systems, tools, and applications within a Dev Ops environment
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, coding, testing, and implementation
• Deliver Agile Dev Ops support for mission‑critical and cloud‑based systems
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of customer solutions
• Oversee operations and maintenance activities for essential systems

• Experience with Java and Python software development
• Knowledge of Dev Sec Ops  practices and methodologies
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops)
• Background working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Active TS/SCI clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Poly

• Full‑stack and web development experience
• Experience designing/documenting microservice‑based architectures

• Salary:
  Up to $200,000, depending on experience
