We're seeking an impact player to support our high-visibility mission-critical project bridging the gap between data accessibility and national security by solving complex, 'no-fail' problems. Two Six is looking for a talented Senior Software Developer to join our growing team. In this role you will design, develop, and debug mission critical software source code that meets the needs of our customers.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to research and integrate new capabilities into our client application. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-performance system and contribute to the overall architecture of our software solutions.

What you will do:

* Design, develop, and debug mission critical software applications and services
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and deliver features
* Participate in/lead technical discussions analyzing requirements, design and engineering practices
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system for performance and scalability
* Implement Zero Trust principles and secure protocols to protect data-in-transit across disparate networks.
* Tune and troubleshoot high-volume data streams to ensure low latency
* Extensive expertise in server less architectures

What you will need:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
* 10+ years of experience in software development
* Proficiency with a broad variety of back-end programming languages
* Proficiency with common web languages such as HTML, CSS, and Java Script  
* Proficiency with multithreaded and asynchronous programming
* Proficiency with relational database systems such as Postgre

SQL or MySQL
* Proficiency with computer and network security concepts
* Proficiency with common development tools such as version control (e.g. Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g. JIRA)
* Demonstrated experience with all major aspects of software development: design, coding, debugging, building, testing, and deploying
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners Nice to haves:
* Proficiency with Rust
* Proficiency with the Docker and containerization
* Proficiency with front-end web UI frameworks such as Vue.js
* Experience with Amazon Web Services
* Understanding of web accessibility Section 508 Standards Security Clearance:

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
