Lead Building Automation Technician (Finance) Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Building Automation Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. You will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment and building systems at our commercial and government sites. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top‑notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you will provide support for our customers in Herndon, VA and surrounding area (DMV area).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Test, calibrate, and verify system and peripheral devices (testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes)
- Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
- Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner
- Update customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes
- Ensure all assigned preventive maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted
- Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations
- Travel up to 75% within the assigned area and occasional overnight stay.
- Complete administrative and reporting tasks related to the job.
- 4 or more years of building automation, process control automation or similar experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell.
- Building Automation systems programming experience.
- N4 certification (Niagara).
- Technical Training and/or Advanced technical degree.
- HVAC and Building Automation systems knowledge.
- Computer networking knowledge.
