Junior Program Security Officer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Program Security Officer to join our team in Herndon, VA providing unparalleled support to our customer, working closely with the project team.
This is an on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm.

• Manage daily functions of SCIF, to include opening/closing the space, responding to alarm calls, auditing alarm reports, and coordinating maintenance of alarm and access control systems

• Maintain SCIF accreditation and required documentation updates, participate in customer self-inspections and site visits

• Manage and maintain all aspects of access control, ensuring only appropriately cleared personnel are allowed physical access, facilitating badging for visitors and new staff, and auditing access logs

• Coordinate with program staff and government to ensure that any electronic equipment or media is properly identified and approved before entering secure areas

• Provide short security presentations/briefings, answering questions about procedures and requirements, and documenting/addressing Security concerns/infractions

• Receive and process incoming VARs and meeting requests

• Strong organization and communication skills needed to maintain access control records, SCIF calendar, and visitor information

• High School Diploma required

• 2+ years’ experience, depending on education, in access or visitor control

• Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Google Applications

• Defense Information Security System (DISS) experience

• Knowledgeable of SCI access control and SCIF regulations.

• Self-starter and the ability to work with a team and Flexibility to do whatever task is required and willingness to learn new functions.

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with CI poly

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Needs to move around the office to access materials and escort
