MANTECH seeks a mission-driven Deputy Program Manager to support the Program Manager in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a complex and dynamic contract. You will assist with technical and administrative operations while helping ensure successful execution of program goals, compliance, and quality standards.
- Supporting the Program Manager in day-to-day execution of program activities.
- Establishing and maintaining an accurate cost accounting system.
- Developing procedures for effective data management.
- Managing hardware and software configurations.
- Establishing and controlling the program product baseline.
- Implementing and overseeing a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program.
- Managing vendors and subcontractor relationships.
- Leading technical management teams located at client sites.
- Advising on work distribution, staffing levels, and skills alignment.
- Analyzing and evaluating operational effectiveness to meet program goals.
- Performing cost-benefit and economic evaluations of programs.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Recommending enhancements to organizational methods and procedures.
- Researching improved business and management practices.
- Compiling and summarizing information for senior-level decision making.
- A Bachelor's degree (4-year degree required).
- 7+ years of experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager on contracts of similar size and complexity.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with JAFAN eligibility.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and subcontractor relationships.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with DOD and military/civilian personnel.
- Strong initiative and minimal supervision required.
- Willingness to travel within the geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA PM Level II certification.
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
