The RoleSuffolk is seeking bold, curious, innovative, and caring individuals. The Project Accountant plays a key role in tracking and reporting on the project’s financial performance.
Responsibilities- Process the monthly owner requisition
- Process subcontractor requisitions
- Ensure the subcontractor complies with contract terms and conditions (insurance, billing procedures, etc.)
- Process budget updates
- Process cost transfers
- Select invoices for the weekly disbursement cycle
- Monitor and track the cash position of the project
- Assist the Corporate Risk Manager with the administration of a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP)
- Work closely with Project Managers and Project Executives on all facets of project accounting and administration issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another relevant field
- Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
- 3‑5 years of related experience

Working ConditionsThe employee is regularly required to sit for long periods, use a keyboard and telephone, and perform fine motor tasks. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and/or hands. Vision abilities include close and distance vision and depth perception. The employee will spend time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level and may perform job‑site walking.
