Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Manager - Propulsion to join our Procurement department in Hartford, CT
.

The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and supporting the overall performance of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

Your challenges
  • Responsible for on‑time delivery of propulsion systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, industrial, supply‑chain, and quality leaders.
  • Analyze suppliers' production value streams and provide feedback on improvement opportunities to de‑risk performance to plan.
  • Collaborate with Airbus teams in the United States, Europe and with suppliers to secure on‑time and on‑quality delivery of propulsion systems.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely implementation of critical corrective and preventive actions to support Airbus targets.
  • Consolidate and maintain an outlook of key industrial, quality, supply‑chain, and risk & opportunities to drive action plans with supplier support.
  • Integrate supply‑chain activities with other regional procurement offices and central Propulsion Operations Procurement teams.
  • Assess suppliers’ readiness towards required rates and review Red/Amber statuses during Control Tower and Industrial Reviews.
  • Manage deviations from defined industrial targets, communicate them to partners and implement corrective actions with suppliers through root‑cause and eradication methods to mitigate recurrence.
Your boarding pass
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in aerospace or industrial engineering, supply‑chain management, logistics management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in the aerospace or automotive industry in industrial planning, supply‑chain management, quality management, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) desirable.
  • Experience leading industrial capacity and quality assessments.
  • Certified Project Management Professional preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certified desirable.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Valid passport required.
  • 50% domestic and international travel required (regular travel anticipated between Airbus sites and propulsion suppliers).
